About

Denise Litchfield, is inseparable from her dingo kelpie, rescued at five weeks old from a plastic bag. Going by the name grrl+dog‚ they form a six legged fibre collaborative that includes  street art, knitting and scrounging for scraps. They have worked together for over two years, though dog has always scrounged.

Grrl+dog runs with scissors, colors outside the lines and barks with her own voice. She uses traditional knitting and crochet in an untraditional manner, and links communities one loop at a time by placing fibre art in unexpected places, guerilla fashion.

In graffiti style grrl+dog believe it is better to ask forgiveness than permission, however for larger projects have been known to conspire with councils and museums.

Grrl+dog live in a glorified kennel in the inner west of Sydney with her very patient partner and a mountain of wool.
